Creative testing is the new targeting. In 2026 Meta Ads success is no longer about finding the perfect audience, but about finding the perfect creative. The algorithm has become so good at finding the right people that your only job is: give it enough creative options to work with.
The 3-step testing system
Step 1: Test concepts. Make 3-5 fundamentally different concepts: UGC testimonial, product demo, problem-solution, lifestyle, comparison. Run each at €20-30/day in a separate CBO campaign. After 3 days you see which concept resonates.
Step 2: Test hooks. Take your winning concept and make 5-8 variations of the first 3 seconds. The hook decides whether someone stops scrolling. Test different openings: a question, a shock statement, result-first, problem-first. This is where most of the gains are.
Step 3: Iterate. Take your winning hook + concept and make variations of the format: vertical vs. horizontal, with subtitles vs. without, with music vs. voice-over. Test continuously and replace your underperformers every 7-10 days.
Measuring and scaling
Don't just measure ROAS but also hook rate (3-second views / impressions), hold rate (view-through percentage), and click-through rate per creative. A creative with a high hook rate but low CTR has a weak ending. A creative with a low hook rate but high conversion among viewers has a weak opening. Both are fixable. You scale winners by gradually increasing the budget (max 20% a day) and adding the creative to your always-on Advantage+ campaign. With our Meta Ads strategy we build this system for every brand.
